So there I was about a year and a half ( or 2 ) ago trying to write some code for some assignment or lab. Then it was one of my countless encounters with BSOD ( a short for the Blue Screen of Death ). Thats when I decided to switch over to the world with no walls. The world of Linux...
Well I used Ubuntu 7.04 ( so must be a year and a half then ). It was indeed not as good looking as Vista but I was fed-up with the BOSDs so I stuck with it till now I've had no problem with Ubuntu. Yes as anybody new to Linux I had my own problems with it. With no internet I had no way to use my printer on it then. No way to use my Nvidia graphics card as there are no Free drivers. But hey it never crashed not even once. Then after 8.04 came out switched to it. Now I use Ubuntu 8.10 which you can download here http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download for free! This is what I've done with my Ubuntu now. A short tutorial on that coming up next :

Until then be Free use Linux, cheers,
Anil
